Alice Ceresa, born in Switzerland in 1923 was a swiss-italian translator, journalist, and writer. She live in Rome until her death in 2001 where she was as close to the literary avant-garde as she was to the feminist movement. Her writing questions the linguistic and political hegemony of an exclusive social “we” and aims to invent a language for that which cannot be said. Diaphanes makes both published and unpublished works by the author available in German, English, and French translation.
