From 2007 to 2008 he worked in the Graduate Research Programme »Media of History – History of Media« at the Bauhaus University Weimar. He has published on theories of heroism, rhetoric and media theory as well as on the relationship between literature and political theology. He is currently working on a project about »Political Astronomy«.

Her dissertation was on »Computerhystories« and her second book is concerned with the theoretical figure »Prosthesis«. She worked as a researcher at the University of Vienna, at Humboldt-Universität Berlin and at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and was also responsible for a range of curatorial and arts-projects, e.g. at the NGBK Berlin and at Kampnagel Hamburg. Together with Elisabeth Timm, she is the editor of Zeitschrift für Kulturwissenschaften.

Die Macht der Zeichen« at the Jewish Museum Berlin (2004); »ARBEIT. Sinn und Sorge« at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden (2009–2010).
